My friends and I have spent many a Friday or Saturday night at Table 82 for delicious appetizers and meals and enjoyed the entertainment. Rick Valentine, the entertainer there on Tuesday and Saturday nights, is our favorite and we can join in with jokes, sing-alongs and dances.

Table 82 is a charming and entertaining Italian cuisine restaurant located on the corner of Rt. 41 (Tamiami Tr.) and Old Rt. 41 in Naples, Florida, which is how it got it's name. (41+ 41 = 82) It has a tinge of sophistication, without being stuffy, and it is located halfway between Bonita Beach and downtown Naples and because of its central location draws many patrons from both areas. It features an elegant dining room area for full service dining that look out to the dance floor with entertainment and a bar with bar area table seating. Tables are set with white linen table cloths and napkins and are beautifully decorated. If you are looking for music and dancing, Table 82 features classy entertainment on Wednesdays through Saturday evenings, showcasing local Naples entertainers, featuring dinner music and Frank Sinatra / Dean Martin era music.

The food is old world Italian cuisine and features appetizers, entrees, and desserts that are mouth watering good and that melt in your mouth when you eat them. Whether you choose just an appetizer with your drink in the bar or a full course meal in the dining room, your taste buds will not be disappointed. The Italian tomato sauce has just enough zing! to it but is not spicy hot. The large Italian meat balls, made from scratch of beef, veal and pork, are stuffed with rigotta cheese and melt right on your tongue. And, they are, oh, so popular with the public.

If you are basically a steak and potatoes man or woman, you won't be disappointed in the bacon wrapped steaks, broiled or grilled to perfection, with lots of mushrooms on the top or side. They are made to your order, but don't take forever in the kitchen. If you are just in the mood for a pizza, they make the best. The service is always at hand but not overbearing and meals are served quickly and efficiently. There is lots of time to dine and no one is rushed out so the restaurant can get in another table seating for the evening. Patrons are encouraged to stay and enjoy the music, the entertainment, and to dance the night away. Table 82 is open only for dinner hours, 5pm - 10pm, Monday throught Saturday and is closed on Sundays. The meals are moderately priced

The owners, Mike and Judy Gardner, and the entire staff are friendly and personable and even will join in singing and dancing with the patrons. Yes, the singing waiter does exist in Naples. And, the singing bartender, Chet. There is never a dull moment when dining at Table 82, along with delicious food and a good joke or two. Fun is had by one and all and another totally enjoyable evening in Naples is had by one and all at Table 82.
